Objectives: with Safety Always First
1.) To understand the theory and operation of automotive brakes
2.) To understand other systems that effect the braking system
3.) To perform major and minor repairs and test to the automotive braking system as directed by the instructor.
4.) To understand theory of and perform all types of repairs to ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEMS
Required Homework will be given occasionally from classroom Readings:and shop manuals on reading. SupplementalClassroom Handouts and General Automotive Books Readings:
CourseGrading Requirements:
A= 91-100% B=81-90% C= 71-80% D= 61-70% F= 60 and Lower W= Withdraw I= Incomplete Y= Work in progress
S= Audit (no credit).
Evaluations:
Test andUnannounced quizzes, mid term exam, classroom hands on-participation may count as an exam, final exam.
Attendance:
Students are expected to attend all scheduled classes and are responsible for all class related work and assignments. Attendance in and of itself however, shall not be used as a criterion for grading. Class work may be made up at the discretion of the professor.

ADVANCED AUTOMOTIVE BRAKING SYSTEMS
Course: Automotive Technology 3 Credits
Class Time: WEDNESDAYS 6 p.m. to 10:10 p.m.
Text: Automotive Brake Systems 3rd Chek-Chart Automotive Series (classroom and shop manual)
Exam: Mid term, Hands-on participation may count as an exam, final exam.
Quizzes: Unannounced quizzes, with varying point values, may be given during the semester.
Grading: AttendanceRegular attendance is expected and essential for Make-up and success in this course.
Please read the MET Policy: Division Attendance policy statement which you will receive with this course information sheet. I intend to adhere to this policy. Any work (exams, quizzes, and take-home work) may be made up only if the student notifies me, with an acceptable excuse, prior to the beginning of the class period on the day the exam is scheduled or other work is due. Please note my phone numbers listed above and use it so we can discuss any problems related to the above.
Comments: To succeed in this course, it is essential that you attend class regularly, complete assignments and participate in class discussions. Please inform me if you need to withdraw from this course for any reason. Remember in order for you to receive a W grade anytime during the regular semester, you must have a passing grade. I expect all of my students to maintain a high level of academic honesty. Any evidence of cheating on exams, quizzes, or take-home assignments will result in a grade of zero for that particular assignment. If you are having difficulty with the material covered in this course, please feel free to ask questions in class or see me in my office. I sincerely wish each of you success in attaining your educational goals.
